The small business can be a solid support for a thriving economy. The definition of what a small business varies by country. In the United States is one of fewer than 100 employees in Australia, but less than 15 employees. Some definitions also take into account the net sales. Most family businesses, at least, start small businesses or micro-businesses with a home base.

These agencies are responsible for the high number of good employees, if they considered an industry group. Most are in private instead of public ownership and are sole proprietorships, partnerships or corporations. Small businesses are generally not leaders in their field, are growing, but the positions of dominance in the time they are well managed. Many independent contractors and service personnel are classified as small businesses. This includes some small businesses and people like lawyers, beauticians, traders, accountants, photographers, bakeries and convenience stores, restaurants and other smaller works.

Small businesses have the advantage of a home is based on a movement, or originate through the use of internet and website. There is less bureaucracy and more freedom and try to focus on market developments. Employees of small businesses have the opportunity to work more closely with existing customers and can forge friendships with their customers. Small businesses are independent and have no boss. They take all the risks and they can enjoy all the benefits. At some point requires more space and more employees. This can range from a small business with the company average size or larger over time. Cost control and growth are two in balance for any business.
